Booking your Rapid COVID-19 Test at USW
This UK Government project aims to test asymptomatic university students and staff (working on campus). In other words, students and staff who do not have symptoms of COVID-19. USW staff who are currently working on campus are eligible for a test, as well as those USW students returning to our University campuses.
This test will inform students and staff by text message if they are positive or negative within an hour of their visit to the test site. This will help to minimise the risk of spreading COVID-19.
From 5 July 2021, we are pleased to now be able to offer Covid-19 asymptomatic home testing kits to colleagues who are coming onto campus to work, as well as to our students who are accessing our campuses for learning and teaching. The kits contain seven lateral flow devices that you can administer yourself at home. You are advised to take two tests three days apart for each week that you are on-campus. It is also advised that you have completed three asymptomatic Covid-19 tests with the lateral flow devices at our campus testing sites before you start to use the home testing kits, so that you are familiar with how they need to be administered. To collect your home testing kit, you just need to book an appointment in the same way as you book your test here on this site.
